LOST coming to a PSP near you!

According to “The Hollywood Reporter”, Buena Vista Home Entertainment will be releasing the two-part pilot episode from the quite popular TV series “LOST” on UMD September 6th, 2005, the same day as the complete first season is made available on DVD. A representative was noted for stating “TV is a natural for UMD because statistics show that more and more American consumers want to take their home entertainment with them when they travel.” Lets hope that titles such as this keep coming our way.

Quick Hits – MLB Review

Quick hits – MLB Review

Welcome to the first edition of the “Quick Hits review. Where you can get game reviews for the PSP, in a fraction of the time. Lets get to it!

MLB is a very good game for many reasons. We’ll start with audio. Upon inserting the UMD in to my PSP I liked the soundtrack. The music is hip enough to stop you from rolling your eyes, yet not out of place or taking away from the game itself. I like just about all music genres, so people like myself will take advantage of this more than others.

Burnout Legends Trailer Released

It looks like the first official trailer for Burnout Legends was just released by EA games. If the actual PSP game looks and plays half as good as the trailer makes it look like it will, September will have me taking a lot of time off work. I think i feel a flu coming on already!

Check it out over at IGN’s site.

Brando Airform UMD Pouch Review

One of the major gripes that I’ve had with the PSP, strangely enough has nothing to do with the system itself. My major gripe is with the jumbo size of the PSP UMD cases. They are so big and bulky that taking more then 1 or 2 along with you is cumbersome and a huge waste of space. It’s because of that that I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect UMD holder.

Midnight Club 3:Dub Edition Review

I’ve been looking forward to this game since first hearing about it. Having played the PS2 and Xbox versions, I wanted to see how the little PSP would stack up. Having played MC3 for a good 15 hours now, I can safely say that this game does not disappoint… graphically.

iTunes Podcast Support

I mentioned it in the podcast, but wanted to post it here as well. My podcast is listed in the new version of iTunes, version 4.9. This is a great release and I’m glad to see a big company like Apple embrace the podcasting community.

That being said, Apple is unfortunately linking to the *wrong* RSS feed for my podcast. Because of that my new podcasts are not showing up in the directory. This is also causing text searches to not pull up my podcast at all. I’m trying to get this all sorted out with Apple.. but they are understandably swamped with emails and haven’t yet gotten back to me yet.

For now you can add my podcast in iTunes by doing a search for “Portable Gaming”. Hopefully Apple will get my feed all sorted out in the coming days.

Thanks for the emails and comments about this guys! :)

Update July 2nd: Looks like Apple has my feed all sorted out. Thanks for the emails and support guys. If you listen to the podcast through iTunes, please let me know what you think.
