So you really want to play God of War on your PSP, huh? Maybe you don’t have the money to buy it, the parents cheaped out, or perhaps you’re just incredibly cheap. Lucky for you Nukoda and PGRevolution are here to hook you up like two topless and randy Greek vixens.

We’re giving away a free copy of God of War: Chains of Olympus because we liked it so much and want to spread the love. Our review copy was so good to us that we want it to share its gruesome, gritty Greek-God action with the readers and listeners of the Bmashers network. How do you get in?

Check it after the jump.

Leave a comment below (make sure you’re e-mail address is tied to the comment so we can get a hold of you!)

Visit the Forum Thread and comment

E-mail us

It’s that easy. Follow these simple rules, make sure we can get a hold of you, and you’re a sure-shot in our random drawing! Anyone 17 and older can enter – sorry kids, this is an M rated game, and unfortunately we’re going to limit this contest to North America.

(Give us a break, EU! This is our first ever give-away. If you’re clever enough, maybe you can get one of your NA buds to hook you up.)

If you want to increase your chances, visit the forum after you leave a comment, then e-mail us to triple your odds of winning our random draw, but try to avoid leaving 40 comments and e-mail spamming us – that will cripple your chances (you’ll be disqualified). Get the entries in before the March 31st deadline and you’re gold!

Thanks guys, and good luck!

In what I have to say is an absolutely awesome looking effect, Everett Bradford, a mechanical engineering student at RPI (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York) went ahead and rigged up shoulder button lights on his PSP that are activated when you push them. Apparently he took the mod that had shoulder lights that stayed on all the time and changed it up a little.

He has put up a rather lengthy tutorial, complete with very large pictures, on how he managed to set up the lights. Again, due to my mechanical ineptitude, this is definitely not something that I would ever attempt… but if we have any readers out there with fairly solid soldering skills, feel free to try it out!

If you are interested in cracking open and modding your PSP, check out the full tutorial here.

New info on the interactive comic is in! The comic will follow the story of the original Metal Gear Solid with introductions of all the famous characters. I know what you’re all thinking, “But I know that story like the back of my hand!” Well, Kojima has said that this comic will give you the chance to find new interesting clues and secrets about the story that were previously unrevealed. The more I can find out about the story the better I say.

Any time during your viewing of the comic, you will be able to enter a different mode, dubbed Mental Search Mode, and get a closer look at main things in the panel, like weapons, characters, or areas. By selecting certain “Memory Elements” with the large cross hair you control in this mode, you gain them in Memory Builder mode, in which the elements connect other elements such as hearing a man talk about someone would connect the talker to the person they are talking about. This sounds like a very cool system to discover more about the MGS storyline.

The Comic is set for release next month, and will be rated M for blood, mild language, partial nudity, and violence.

The maps were put together by map data provider Zenrin and are available for 3,990 yen ($34). Since there is no GPS support, these are simply portable electronic versions of paper maps. However, there are some nifty features for this as well.

Head over to the site to get all the information as well as screenshots. I myself will be taking a trip to Tokyo later this year so I might have to import this software and give it a shot.

The official site is still under construction but you can download the portal in .zip and .rar. The portal is web based portal so you’ll need 2.00 or above. All you need to do is dump the files onto your memory stick and set your homepage to point to the portal.

Although I haven’t tried it yet, XIS looks like one of the most impressive portals to date. Some its features include games and instant messaging. Definitely something to check out if you have 2.00 or above.

The Barnet and Potters Bar Times reports that on last Friday in Downage, a young boy of 12 was violently robbed of his PSP and mobile phone.

He was thrown to the ground, injuring his hand, while his PSP and mobile phone were stolen. The boy was taken to Barnet Hospital, suffering concussion, cuts and bruising, and remained there over the weekend

It was revealed earlier that two-thirds of all street robberies involve expensive electronic equipment. Officers now worry that the PSP will now become the target of choice as this is the second theft of this nature since Christmas.

Acting Detective Chief Inspector Murray Duffin, of Barnet police, said: “Sadly, small portable items of technology are just too much of a temptation to some of the criminal fraternity and things like PSPs and iPods that are not used in school should maybe be left safely at home or kept well out of sight when in the street.

“The amount of violence used in this attack was unnecessary and gratuitous and we would hope that anyone with any information about this incident will contact us quickly.”

I have to admit that I believe it to be a sad thing when two adults have to beat up and rob a 12 year old for something. I hope they catch the two soon and I also hope the kid is alright.
