We’re giving away a free copy of God of War: Chains of Olympus because we liked it so much and want to spread the love. Our review copy was so good to us that we want it to share its gruesome, gritty Greek-God action with the readers and listeners of the Bmashers network. How do you get in?

Exclusive Every Extend Extra Extravaganza!

You’ll have to excuse the title, but I didn’t want to pass up the chance to post a EEEEE title. With the release of Every Extend Extra in the UK BVG and Q Entertainment have launched the official European website of the game. If you are unfamiliar with this great puzzle title you can checkout the new Experience area. This allows you to sample the visuals from the 9 phases of the game, and get some great bite sized tips and explanations by hovering over the different elements on the screen. Very cool.

I’ve also been given access to some great exclusive EEE content including some screenshots and great desktop wallpapers which will be included below.

So what do all of you think of this game? I know that it’s been out since November in the US and will hit the UK soon. You can expect my full review soon if you are still on the fence about picking up this quirky puzzle game.

Quick DVD to PSP conversion on your Mac

If you’ve been looking to convert your DVDs to other formats on your Mac you’ve probably downloaded, or at least heard of a program called Handbrake. It’s a great and powerful application for DVD ripping, although it suffers from a confusing user interface and huge learning curve. Well now you are in luck! Instant Handbrake has just been released as a beta, and it has simplified the process of ripping DVDs to iPod or PSP format!

Simply drop in the DVD you wish to encode, open Instant Handbrake, choose the video file and options and hit convert. Instant Handbrake will worry about transcoding the video to the format you selected, and even import it into iTunes for you.

This is great news for people who like to watch movies while on the go and do not want to pay the premium for the limited UMD movie format. Again, ripping a DVD may be illegal in your country (Yes you US, I’m talking to you), so be sure of the legality before downloading and using this application.

Updated Media Manager Features

So you should already know that the PSP is rapidly closing in on the iPod in terms of sales from a post I made yesterday. Now the race should get even tighter with the features included in the newly released PSP Media Manager.

The Media Manager software allows you to transcode video files for playing on your PSP. In addition to AVI, MOV, MP4, and WMV files, the new version lets you convert DVR-MS files recorded using Windows Media Center. You can also transfer videos from camcorders or DVDs to your PSP, and the update also supports .m3u and .wpl playlist files.

The new PSP Media Manager is available to purchase in stores for $25 USD or it can be downloaded for a mere $17 USD.

If you received the UMD demo of World Tour Soccer 06 in the mail, this downloadable version will be nothing new as it is basically a slimmed down version of the UMD demo.

Spider-Man 3 media for your PSP

Sony Pictures has released some Spider-Man 3 goodies for your PSP. More specifically, a PSP formatted teaser trailer and wallpaper of the movie. Unfortunately, Mac users are left in the dark again because Sony made both downloads as Windows only executable files. Apparently Sony thinks PSP users are too dumb to know how to copy a movie onto a MemoryStick.

NYC2123 issue 6 hits stands!

Issue 6 of the popular PSP formatted comic, NYC2123: Dayender, has finally been released. Issue 6 marks the completion of the epic 6 part series. It’s style was unmatched by any other PSP comic out there and was the hallmark of this excellent comic. The final chapter of NYC2123 is a whopping 75 pages long so start reading! You can download or read the comic online at the official NYC2123 website.

Dead Man’s Chest trailer

Disney has made a PSP compatible trailer of its upcoming film, The Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, available for download. The first film, The Curse of the Black Pearl, was a huge hit among adults and kids a like. Hopefully the sequel will be just as good. The trailer is encoded in H.264 so you’ll need firmware version 2.00 or higher in order to view it on your PSP.

Here are some fresh new shots of Konami’s upcoming sequal, Death Jr. 2: Root of Evil. It looks like in this version you’ll be able to play as other characters, not just DJ like in the first game. Things are shaping up nicely, can’t wait to play this game when it is released.
