I don't know what Sony are thinking with the idea of adding a micro HD to a PSP - they have enough problems with battery life as it is, I'd think, and adding a hard drive would be a considerable added drain on the system... It would be substantially smarter - and cheaper - to add maybe 8 or 10 GBytes of flash RAM and partition two to four Gigs of it for system exclusive use... then they could give developers a new compiler with caching logic and wham! a lot of the power and load time problems would disappear with new games... they could even extend rudimentary caching logic into the OS so old games could take advantage of some limited "dumb" caching too..
