I just d/l the Media Manager 2.0 …..long story short….doesn’t run on my computer. My comp runs Windows Vista. It allowed my to put the program on,..but as soon as I try to start it up, it shuts down. Can anyone please help me with this? Sony doesn’t seem to comprehend what “customer service” means.

Sony puts out what can only be described as a piece of S$%&T software and has the hide to charge for an upgrade to version 2.0. Sony doesn’t give a rats arse about their customers from what I can tell.

Is the link for the upgrade something that you can post? If not how did you contact Sony? I see on Sony’s software page there is a phone number 1.800.577.6642. I tried calling on lunch today and was not able to wait long enough to talk to someone. Any info would be appreciated.

I took the pluge and bought theupgrade. Does not work with divx avi files. If you want to upgrade contact sony, if you own the previous version. I did so I could have the link for the upgrade for $9.99. Also requires Quicktime 7.0 to be installed. Software better than first version.

I bought the 1.0 version and I got no offer to upgrade for 9.99 :( The worst thing about this is that I got to know about the new version by a blog article and not by Sony. Sony has such a great care for it’s customers…

Hi
Just had upgraded my old Media Manager for about $9.99
And the results are amazing;

Transfer divx to the MS - with great quality - read above
Transfer DVD direct to MS - with great quality - insert a dvd on your dvd rom and he asks if you want to convert to High or low avc and tells you the size that is going to occupied like divx … select the folder and voila

is wroth of buying

I got an offer to upgrade from Sony for $9.99 from the previous version. I’m passing though since I hardly ever use the program and the new features are limited at best.
