First homebrew game on fw2.80 released!

Users of a 2.80 firmware PSP can now rejoice, the first piece of homebrew using the recently found libtiff exploit is now out there. Noobz brings you a version of Tetris that runs on your 2.8 PSP. Simple download the Tetris package, extract it to your ms0:/PSP/PHOTO dir and play away.
While a bit simplistic, this shows us that playable homebrew on a 2.8 PSP is a reality. If I were you I would hold off on installing that 2.81 firmware update.
[Update 1: I neglected to mention in the article that this runs on any PSP with firmware 2.0 - 2.8, I just stressed the 2.8 fact due to it being so damn cool :)]

ok i fixed it.. all you need to do so it won’t freese is plug it in to the wall!! awsome game!!!
I am unsure of Homebrew, but might try this just to see it.

this homebrew does not freeze…. I have FW2.8 and it works just fine, ecept for the fact that I can;t seem to take screenies… what is the screen button on your psp anyway??? If you could help me with that it’d be nice :)
The Screen button is the screen brighness thing. The screen shots go in your root directory, not in PHOTO or something, so you have you hook your PSP up to your C to see them.It also has to have all of the files in including the JPEG in a folder in your photo folder.
and its got to be paused to take a “screenie”
This proofs one more time that the psp homebrew community wont give up at any time soon….good luck whit this new hacked firmware…..and one more thing,, do not upgrade to 2.81 cause is absolutly nothing new….}:-/

I have a small problem. I have version 2.8 and I DO NOT have that new motherboard but the tetris game won’t seem to work. It is there and its not corrupted. I click on photos and there is tetris. I click on it and it says there are no images. Can someone help me without yelling and using caps please.
this is brilliant i have been stuck with FW2.6 for ages hoping something good will come cause im too scared to downgrade when it comes for FW2 .

Yeah, if any of you guys know how, try to make some homebrew for 2.81 becuase, I foolishy upgraded to 2.81 and i don’t know anything about how to hack a PSP. Or if you could, a downgrader. Thanks

ok ok if it freezes, dont open the photo folder and click triangle and view slideshow and that will load the homebrew game for u

@ Alex: There isnt even a 2.80 downgrader yet!! How could we possibly come out with a 2.81 downgrader. Also, 2.81 gets rid of the vunerability that 2.80 uses to use homebrew.
hey 4 2.81 couldnt they find an exploit thru JPEG or mac. flash?
Anyway…back to my situation. I still don’t know what to do. Can someone step by step me on how to work around the stupid corrupted data. Thanks john for your attempted help.
ok download place in ur photo folder and then make sure its 1 folder make sure the tiff and eloader and all that stuff is in there and then discount. then click triangle if it dosent work check ur firmware

I could have sworn I said easy step by steps.
download it to ur pc
then copy the folder that say tertis into ur photo folder
then unplug ur usb cord
go into ur psp click triange
view slide show
wait a copy of sec.
then it should work
if it dosent check ur firmware

ok i read the comments and everything it just wont let me use the homebrew. I select the tetris folder using triangle and press slideshow but after about 3 sec. it stops the slideshow and under the tetris pic it shows currupt data

so ive been trying this over and over, i have other tiffgames there too and they worked great to start with but now tetris wont work, even when using the slideshow option, i have fw 2.80 any other suggestions asto how to get it to work??

Oknvmi got the download and then umlikewhenever itrie 2 klik slidshowit always freezezand then i try turning it off withthe power button dosent work so what im doing is taking the battery outandikeeptrying it over and over but it keeps getting effed up and freezing its frozen right now im just waiting for it to play
