Awesome podcast! Listened to it last night before I went to bed and I have to say it is one of the best podcasts I’ve listened to (probably tied with the PSP Podcast), I love how theres more then one host as it makes for different opinions and funny things. Sorry to hear about that cracked hinge thing (checked mine its fine lol), I always get a warranty from EB when I buy systems and they always replace mine (replaced PSP when the UMD door wouldn’t close sometimes and randomly opened at times). Can”t wait to hear more!!

Umm..about Mario 3-on3….it’s ALREAYD released in Japan FIRST gang.
You girls sound kinda uninformed and you’re basing everything off what you read about on the internet and NOT from actual experience.
By the way, I’ve been playing Mario 3-on-3 lately and it rocks! Kinda ackward to get used to the control scheme, but it works I guess. DS Lite users might run into problems on the smaller system when compared ot the DS.
I have both and have found that it plays better on the original DS.

Great podcast guys! I agree…I’ve never been so obsessed with a console before…the touch screen and wifi has changed me forever! I’m still undecided as to whether to purchase the lite yet, but I’m sure I’ll be getting it eventually. My fiance (a pc gamer) is practically begging me to get the New Super Mario Brothers so that HE can play it. lol. Anyways, keep the podcasts coming!

Hey iBall.. take your comments elsewhere. This is a civil forum for civil posts. Calling peopel girls, who obviously aren’t, just shows your maturity level. Keep it clean or you’ll be banned.

As for basing things off of the net and news, umm, but that’s what a news show does. How can you report on something if you had to “actually experience” it first?

Oh and for the Mario 3-on-3, the news was from IGN.. their release dates are screwed up I guess. Looks like the game just came out this week in Japan. I’m interested to know how you got your import copy so fast…

    Hey Lloyd,

Just had a listen to the DS:Life Episode #001 podcast, since it came in on the PSP feed.

Guess what? I just unsubscribed to your feed. I found the racial jokes offensive and inappropriate for a Video Game podcast. I’m referring to the “Mexicans for your DS!” joke and the “Brain Age is for Asians! BROOOO!” remarks of course.

I am a third generation Chinese American and I understand that some Asians do have problems pronouncing some English letters. I also understand that many Mexican immigrants do gardening work and sell fruit. However to hear a bunch of guys mocking people of Mexican and Asian descent in this podcast was a slap to the face and completely unwarranted.

Leave the racism to people like Carlos Mencia and Dave Chappelle and stick to the Games, guys. It’s too bad you got off to this kind of start, I love my DS and was looking forward to a DS themed podcast to listen to on my commute to work.

    Sincerely,
    James Cheung

I see how that can offend you but don’t take it so personal. It is just some jokes they said for some fun. I am sure they do not mean to insult anyone, but understand how you feel.

Maybe you guys could talk about the Opera Browser being released next podcast? I heard it was slow load times though…

  13. 13 Dasme

    Hey James,

I’m sad to see you go. If you’ve been listening to the podcast, both PSP and the new DS, you know that I wouldn’t purposly hate on anybody. The whole Brain Age Broo Brack thing was put in because it’s true, if you don’t believe us try it for yourself. It’s funny because for ages we made fun of shoddy translations when games come over here, now some of that is bleeding through to the voice recognition in new games.

Is that racist? I don’t think so, but things like that are very subjective so you may be offended.

Again, I’m sorry if we offended you. I truely hope that you will stick around to listen to the new episodes.

    Lloyd

Love the new podcast guys! Found it by searching for ‘DS Lite” podcasts in iTunes and immediately rcognized that voice from the north that I listened too constantly when I owned a PSP.

I sold my PSP in lieu of the DS Lite and when my 15 yr. old son saw me open it up he went straight to the store and picked up one himself. We love all the multiplayer games requiring only 1-card use.

Keep up the good work guys…..will be looking forward to more in the future and if the quality is half as good as the PSP Podcast was then this will surely be a hit!

Please think about a future review of both the Media Player and the Web Browser…thanks again, tell Cara I said hi and hope to hear her on some future game reviews!

Haven’t heard the podcast yet, but am a long-time listener to the psp podcast, and just bought a DS Lite three weeks ago. Mainly playing brain age, like everyone else, and love the unique interface. Also having problems with saying “blue” in that game as is my fiancee, who is of Chinese descent, but has no accent. We have pretty stopped using the voice feature for that very reason.

Other than that, it is a nice change from the PSP. Right now, I am pretty much only playing my DS lite, and my PSP is gathering dust. I’m sure my new enthusiasm will fade a bit and I will be going back and forth between the two.

Again, looking forward to this new podcast! I’m sure you will keep us as well informed and up to date on the DS lite as you are with the PSP!
