X5 v2.00 released!

X5v2_picCast your mind back to August of 2005, and you’ll remember a rather nifty little PSP Portal called X5. After much anticipation, the guys over at PSP3D.com have released v2.00 of their fine product – and it’s looking rather delicious.

KaotiK DesignZ and PSP 3D are proud to release X5 ver 2.00, a joint production with grassroots all the way back in August of 2005, with the release of KaotiX ver 1.00. X5 has progressed a long way since then, and offers a ton of new features that were once unthought of back in the early days of the PSP. X5 ver 2.00 focuses on media, Internet connectivity, and most of all GUI. Weekly free flash gamepacks for 2.7 and higher firmware users will be released here at PSP3D.com, which can be played through the Quicktime Player; RSS feeds with tons of music, from rap and hip hop to rock and techno will be player at iTunes; and high quality movie trailers, music videos, shows, and more will be downloadable directly to your PSP, only through X5. All this and more is promised with this new, totally revamped version of the best portal for the PSP around. Please read the included readme.txt file for more information on how to install this on your PSP. X5 only works on firmwares 2.0 though 2.71 via the official web browser.

New features in X5 ver 2.00 include:
- Address Book (Redesign).
- AOL Instant Messenger (New Dialog).
- Dock (Redesign).
- Finder (Redesign).
- iCal (Redesign).
- iPhoto.
- iTunes.
- Mail (New Dialog).
- MSN Messenger (New Dialog).

I installed it and found it to be very well done. The interface is pretty cool and alot like that of a mac. The only complaint I have is about speed. It is only a lot of different html pages so eveytime you click to open an “application” or a menu it had to load a new page.

okay… i was reading… and to answerer you questions itunes and quicktime and all that shiit is for decorations. To install read “X5Documentation.txt” I CANT BE MORE SIMPLE and same with doing the background. you cant put the X5.jpg into the normal psp photo folder if you have psp firmware 2.6 or below (i think) so you have to make a folder at the root of you mem stick called PICTURE and put it in there, again, in the root of the mem stick – not in the the MP_ROOT or PSP folder. if you cant figure it out your fking retarded.

You freaking retard some people like mac’s because I’ve got both mac and windows. But windows has so many glitches that it has a viris. And one other thing mac has almost no viris but windows has so many virises that I cant even count them.
