Altair from the PSP Updates forums has released a clone of Red Alert. REDaLua is coded in the LUA programming language, hence the name, so you will need Lua Player in order to play this game. For a Lua game, I am quite impressed. I would’ve never guessed that you could code a game as complex as Red Alert in a procedural scripting language like Lua.
So far, many different functions have been implemented; however some of them aren’t working completely:
- Unit Selection
- Scrolling
- Movement
- Health
- Repairing
- Saving/Loading (only one savegame)
- Shooting
- Menus (not all the buttons work yet)
- Some sound
- Team selection
- Mining
