Portable Gaming Revolution

IGN reports that Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will be releasing a video game based on the upcoming film 300 based on the Frank Miller (Sin City) graphic novel.

“We are working with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to ensure 300: March to Glory captures the look and action of the film while making it fun to play on the PSP system,” said Philippe Erwin, Executive Producer for Collision.

The novel is based on the classical Battle of Thermopylae where a group of Spartans, Arcadians, and Laconians fought to the death against the Persian army in 480 B.C. The title refers specifically to the Spartans which numbered 300.

As with all Frank Miller novels, the book is amazing and a must-read (in my opinion) for anyone. Hopefully the game and the movie can do it justice.
