Ace Combat To Come to PSP

IGN reports that Namco will be giving the PSP the next iteration of the Ace Combat franchise titled Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception.

The game will include the typical detailed jet models and the ability to tweak and tune your fighter jets, all of which are real world. Four jets have been confirmed thus far: the F-14D Super Tomcat, Tornado F3, F2-A and MIG-31 Foxhound. Ace Combat X will also feature an original storyline featuring many CG cut-scenes as well as a number of different play modes.

They have revealed the following modes:

- Campaign mode where you play as a pilot in the Gryphus Squadron of the Federal Republic of Aurelia
- Multiplayer mode with up to four players which appears to be Ad-Hoc
- Last-Man Standing dog fight mode where you will split into teams for co-op combat

The game is set for release in the Fall in Japan with no US date announced at this time.
