Kotaku has posted a couple pics of the Solid Eye that comes with Metal Gear Ac!d 2. The Solid Eye is supposed to make some portions of MGA 2 appear in 3D.

Remember, this is a free item you get with purchase. Including tomething that was plastic and snapped on would of drove up prices too much. I’llhold onto my verdict until I try it out though. Doesn’t look that awful to me though.

Most reviews I have read said that once you start playing with it on, it really is a cool gadget. Some people have played the majority of the game using it they love it so much.

surely, the whole idea for sony is that they are able to fold it up and fit it into the game case? it almost has to be made out of cardboard!

I’ve seen graphics of this “Solid Eye” thing on other places on the net like:

The promise turned out to be different from the reality. If it comes in the box, then it would have to be made out of really, thick paper. Kinda cheap if you ask me.

I am getting the game because I like the format and I am a otaku MGS fan. But I thought it would be a larger, plastic (at the least), addition to the game.

By the way; Konami can afford to make a plastic addition. The largest expense in plastics is the mold. But after that, it’s just cost of materials and labor. If they make one, then they can make a million just like it. The cost isn’t that terrible. And it would be a good ‘notch’ in the quality aspect of the game.

It’s probably made out of paper. I saw MGA 2 at Fry’s this afternoon and there was nothing but a regular old PSP case. The Solid Eye is probably folded away inside the case.
