PSPlayerMT Released

PSPlayerMT was released today by an unamed Korean coder. It’s a media player capable of playing videos up to 480×272 at 29.97 fps. It claims to be able to play full screen video with almost no lag but so far I haven’t even been able to get a video to start. However, a few people over at PSP Updates claim they’ve gotten DivX, Xvid, AVI, and WMV running. There’s also reports that this works on 2.00 in conjunction with eLoader.

Yes, I know that. I tryed it and it didn’t work. Might be the way the AVI and WMV were encoded. Dunno…

I was able to encode the movie “10″ using the latest Handbrake. It’s over 2 hours and played fine. Admittedly, I only watched the first 15 minutes. I did have my system lock up if I tried to fast forward. So long as I just started it and let it run everything seemed OK.
