EA and Will Wright, designer of the immensely successful Sims franchise, are looking to bring their upcoming game Spore to handhelds as well. This was confirmed via a job posting on GameDev.net for a “Handheld Designer: SPORE” position.
“Located in beautiful Emeryville, CA,” read the ad, “the Spore team is looking for an experienced designer that will be responsible for designing, creating and maintaining game systems and content for SPORE Handheld titles.” The lucky recipient of the job will be asked to “drive vision and design for both internal and external design teams for launch of handheld titles for SPORE.”
Of course, there is no mention as to which handheld it would be coming to, but considering that Sims 2 hit every console known to man including PSP, DS and GBA, it stands to reason we might see this title come to our little handheld.
