PSP Universal Remote

massa84 over at PSP Italia has released PSP Universal Remote v1.0. This cool little homebrew application allows you to use your PSP as a remote control to control infrared-devices. The PSP Universal Remote supports all devices currently listed at http://www.lirc.org.

Installation:
Simply extract the RAR archive (obtain a copy of Winrar at www.rarlabs.com) to the root of your memory stick, maintaining the directory structure/paths.

Usage:

* Press ‘Square’ to list remotes
* Press ‘X’ to select manufacturer
* Press ‘X’ to select remote
(the app will restart)
* Press ‘O’ to see the command list
* Press ‘X’ to select the command

Use ‘Triangle’ to exit – pressing ‘Home’ will cause your PSP to crash.

You can download the USB Universal Remote v1.0 here.

To me this application is much easier than this hack. If you have a 1.50 PSP, give it a shot.

if u do have custom firmware put the remotes folder in you root of memory stick (open your memory stick and place it inside not in MP ROOT

open the other folder psp then go to game copy the two files in there to your memory stick in GAME folder.
(the game folder in the memory stick is in the PSP folder first)

    hope this helps
