Neuros MPEG4 Recorder 2 Released

Neuros has released the Neuros MPEG4 Recorder 2 (NMR) which updates the original MPEG 4 Recorder to be more friendly to the Sony PSP and Apple iPod reports The Register.

For the PSP owners, the highlights are the addition of a 368 x 208 resolution to fit the PSP’s widescreen display, the fact that standard Memory Sticks are now used (In addition to Compact Flash memory cards), and that the MPEG 4 SP encoder uses MP3 for audio as opposed to G.726 audio format. The addition of MPEG 4 with AAC-LC stereo sound support makes this useful to video iPod users as well.

The NMR can record from any video source including TV Cable boxes, Satellite Receiver Boxes, PVRs or DVRs Like TiVoTM, DVD players, VCRs, and Camcorders and can also connect directly to a PC and act as a card reader. For full features and specifications, check out the product details on the Neuros site. The list price for the NMR is $149.99

This sounds like a pretty useful little gadget and I might have to check it out and see how well it works.
