Some internet scum have released a supposed 2.0 to 1.5 patcher that ends up deleting needed files from your firmware, thus killing or “bricking” your PSP. Some around the net are calling it a virus, but I’m just calling it stupidity.

If you are going to run any emulators or software on your PSP make sure that it comes from a reputable source, not just some random website or newsgroup post.

The file in question is called the “PSP Team patcher” so atleast you know what not to look for.
