Well it looks like the days of running Homebrew on your 1.5 version PSP are finally here. The folks over at ps2dev have released the Swaploit! which allows this. All you need is the exploit file that you can download from the above linked site, and 2 memory cards and you can run homebrew on your 1.5 PSP. Oh, and of course a homebrew app that you would like to run on your PSP!
I only have 1 memory card here with me so I cannot try it, but I will give it a try when I get home and will report my finding in tonight’s PSP Podcast.
Oh, and I should warn you. You have to swap 1 mem card for the other while your PSP is on and you are running an app from the memcard. This could damage your PSP or render your memory cards useless. I wouldn’t try this with the shiny new 1GB you just bought. Try this at your own risk.
